Laser therapy

Premier Urology is very excited to be able to offer laser therapy to our patients. This advanced technology is an outpatient procedure that uses laser technology to remove overgrown prostate tissue and rapidly restore natural urine flow, often within 24 hours of the procedure. Laser Therapy is an option even if you’re on anticoagulants, blood thinners, or if you have an implanted pacemaker, defibrillator or neurostimulator.  When compared with traditional surgery, Laser Therapy provides several advantages.

  • Outpatient procedure
  • Shorter catheterization time
  • Less bleeding lending for a faster recovery

Talk to our urologist today to see if laser therapy is right for you.

High intensity focused ultrasound

This ultrasound procedure is a precise and targeted therapy that reduces the risk of complications and impact to quality of life caused by surgery and radiation for prostate tissue ablation in prostate cancer patients. We will use ultrasound energy, or sound waves, to heat and destroy specifically targeted areas of tissue. These sound waves pass through healthy tissue without causing damage. However, at the focal point of the sound waves the tissue temperature rises rapidly to 90 degrees Celsius destroying the targeted tissue. If you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, speak with our providers today to see if this ultrasound procedure is right for you.
